Bajarka Opowiada with illustrations by Jan Szancer is a classic set of fairytales from around the world: Polish,Jewish, Czech, French, Tajik, “Samoyedy” and so on. Very informative on European and Asian history as well as so called alive folklore, mythical creatures, forgotten rulers, collective subconcious patterns and so on. Some of classic cartoons of today were based on these staples of European or Middle Eastern folklore from centuries ago.
